KELLY JENKINS CPA
I am the owner of Fix It Business & Bookkeeping Services and have been in the accounting public practice arena since 2004. I have worked in both large and small accounting firms, and prior to becoming an accountant worked in a variety of part-time jobs (ask me about them for some colorful stories) for small businesses which has given me a unique look into small business practice (the good, the bad and the ugly).

I started this business as a straight bookkeeping business in 2009 to go along with my work as an accountant. It has given me a unique insight into small business as I do the data entry as well as the data analysis. It has given me the skills using the various accounting software that is available and the numerous problems that small business faces and issues they deal with. It has made me more than your typical accountant. I utilize all available technology to whatever point my clients are comfortable with.
As a single mum (married name was Duncan), my home office allows me to service my clients outside normal business hours, as well as spending quality time with my small children and family. Trust me when I say, I can teach anyone!!!
It also means I face and have faced many of the issues my clients face on a day to day basis, if not personally, in my experience of going to my clients place to see them.
I enjoy helping people and specialize in the micro mess... the businesses other accountants don't want to deal with or cannot help. I am very honest and down to earth and will tell you the truth, even if you don't want to hear it!
Tamara has been with me for over 1 year and comes from a retail background. She has 2 small children and works for me on a part-time basis.
She is currently studying her Certificate IV in Accounting at the Gordon.
Being a small business she is working in a variety of capacities, but now handles most of our clients data entry, coding, weekly payroll, purchases register reconciliations and bank reconciliations, as well as other office administration duties.
